About Bounce

Dance is the beginning. We build everything else together.

BOUNCE Dance Academy is a base for people who want to discover dance, develop their knowledge and body, gain experience and find a community where they belong.

From a living room to an Academy. — Bounce Dance Academy

Our story

From a living room to an Academy.

BOUNCE began in 2017 in a living room, from an idea that was bigger than a single dance group from the very start — and from a genuine love of dance and teaching children and adults.

Over the years, our work, programs, people, space and structure changed. Every phase brought something new, but the idea of what we wanted to build remained. After years of experience, change and work, it took its full shape as BOUNCE Dance Academy.

Today, BDA is a place for people who want more than simply attending a dance class.

More than training

A serious base for a dancer's development.

Whether someone is taking their first steps, considers dance an important hobby or wants to move towards performances, competitions, projects and professional work.

Our system does not begin and end with choreography, show business or practicing basics without a clear goal.

Throughout the season, we work on basics, technique, musicality, groove, coordination, freestyle, choreography, performance and understanding styles. Our focus is the street and commercial scene, alongside other directions and knowledge that expand a dancer's vocabulary.

We want dancers to know their style, hear the music and control their bodies; to perform choreography while developing their own way of moving and expressing themselves.

We do not want a dancer to know only the order of the steps, but also to understand what they are performing.

Our approach

We put a holistic approach to the dancer, knowledge and personal expression before choreography and popular steps.

01

Knowledge

Clear technique, musicality and understanding of movement.

02

Safety

A space where you can try, make mistakes and grow.

03

Consistency

Progress built through regular and purposeful work.

04

Community

Support, exchange and belonging beyond the studio.

The wider picture

Development does not end with regular classes.

A dancer is shaped by more than movement and dance knowledge. The experience they gain and what happens within matter to us as well.

01

Experience beyond regular training

We organize workshops, guest teaching and physical preparation through Strength and Stretch. We open new topics through Membership Workshop, BOUNCE EDU, Kids Lab and other Academy formats, while giving dedicated members opportunities for performances, filming, competitions and projects.

Knowledge does not have to stay inside our studio. We guide members towards quality camps and workshops, private classes and other education in Serbia and abroad when it will benefit them. BOUNCE should be the base from which they grow, supported by coaches who travel and learn from outstanding dancers and teachers.

02

What happens within

Confidence, our relationship with mistakes, discipline, motivation, stage fright, patience, our body and the way we function in a group affect dance more than may be visible.

That is why we make room for psychological topics, personal development and self-awareness, guided by certified young professionals in psychology, applied psychology and constructivist psychotherapy. We want strong dancers, but also people who collaborate, explore, take responsibility and remain themselves — team players open to building a community.

Knowledge, the body, experience and personal development are not separate paths. Together, they build a dancer.

Community is not an extra. It is how BOUNCE works. — Bounce Dance Academy

What sets us apart

Community is not an extra. It is how BOUNCE works.

Community is not an add-on to membership or a WhatsApp group for announcements.

We care about the energy in class, relationships, how we welcome new members and how we go through projects together, celebrate progress and respond when someone is struggling.

We create space for gatherings, Community Lab, workshops, challenges and performances through which people truly connect. We do not want members to be just another number, but to belong to a place where they can train seriously and feel safe to explore, make mistakes, ask questions and find their direction.

Our journey

From the BOUNCE group to BOUNCE Dance Academy.

Not every idea worked on the first attempt, and not every period was easy. We changed what did not work, learned and better understood the place we wanted.

Change did not take us away from the original idea; it brought us to it. BOUNCE Dance Academy today is the closest expression of why BOUNCE began.

Here you can gain serious dance knowledge, explore styles, work on your body, perform, encounter the wider scene, develop yourself and find people with whom to share the process.

We do not expect everyone to have the same goal. Our role is to understand each member's needs and build the environment, system, education and community from which they can begin and continue to grow.

Enrolling is your decision. We build everything else together. 🧡

First-hand

How Bounce feels to the people who visit.

  • I love taking classes at Bounce. I'm into reggaeton and here you can get intensive reggaeton, dancehall and afro classes. Every time after class, my mood is up to the ceiling. Special thanks to Mary, who helps to have a great time and get a charge of emotions.

  • Honestly, I did not expect the school to give me so much more than dance itself. When I joined, I wanted to learn how to dance, and today I can say that through all of this I have built so much more confidence, stamina and flexibility, as well as a much healthier relationship with my body. It means so much to me that I found my own nickname here, which I love, and the feeling that I am part of such a wonderful community. ❤️ The people are truly lovely. There is no toxic competition; everyone supports one another, helps each other and pushes each other to grow. The biggest change for me is that now, when I go out, I feel confident and comfortable enough to simply dance and enjoy myself, without worrying about how I look or what anyone thinks. I came for the dance and got so much more. ❤️ So, if you are thinking about starting — do it!

  • Last season of hip-hop at Bounce Dance with Jasna was about so much more than learning dance steps. I learned a great deal about dance, but also about teamwork, shared energy, supporting one another and self-confidence. It is one of those places you go to even when it is raining or snowing, when you are tired or in a bad mood, because you know how much better you will feel after class. ❤️ We came together wonderfully as a team, and through her talent, knowledge, dedication and energy, Jasna made every class engaging, rewarding and inspiring. Alongside learning and progressing in dance, you develop a sense of community and belonging that motivates you to keep coming back. I wholeheartedly recommend Bounce Dance — for the excellent classes, high-quality instruction, wonderful energy and everything you carry with you long after class is over! 💃

  • At Bounce, besides learning many dance steps and amazing choreographies, I learned that everything is better with true team spirit, and that every new step outside our comfort zone takes our confidence to a new level. 🙌❤️

  • The atmosphere is amazing—positive energy, smiling faces and a great group of people; a chance to learn something new, whether it is a new dance step, a style or an entire energetic choreography. It is a wonderful way to spend my free time doing something useful, fun and fulfilling. I especially love that we get a cool video after class—a beautiful reminder of the work, effort and fun we shared. Thank you for all the wonderful moments!

  • The energy, dedication and professionalism were on another level! You can feel when someone does what they love, and I cannot wait for the next one so we can dance and learn together again!

    Tamara06
  • Hey, I wanted to write now before bed, once everything had settled. I had such a lovely time in class and I am glad we finally met. You have such beautiful energy and communicate so clearly; you shared so many steps and so much knowledge, yet made it feel simple and adaptable to everyone—truly world-class…

  • The approach in class is pedagogical, psychological, patient, fun, sensitive and supportive. And that is before even mentioning the theory, techniques and everything we learned about Hip-Hop, its culture and dance in general—from seemingly trivial exercises, when we dance like animals, to repeating a step in great detail. The way you motivated and pushed us meant a lot. There were times when I did not feel like coming to class, but I still came, and I can honestly say that it was mostly because of you, your approach and the way people feel in your classes. That sense of connection with others is what generally drives me in life, much more than objectively tangible and visible things. You truly make an effort to help us feel welcome and seen in this slightly bzz world, and that deserves every praise!

    Una08
  • Most importantly, I felt great and picked up a few things that I will adapt to my own style. I think I even used one of the steps in the battle qualifiers! 😍

    Alex09
  • I truly hope I will be able to attend your classes more often. Thank you once again for the knowledge and for these videos!

Four seasons. One decision she is still proud of.

Marija

I have been dancing since I was six. As I grew, so did my interest in new dance styles, until I completely fell in love with reggaeton as a teenager. I had always felt a passion for that music, and my dream was to become a dancer in that style one day. Unfortunately, there are not enough schools and dancers representing Puerto Rican reggaeton in our region.

I had experience with other schools, but I often felt that people were focused on themselves and that we simply moved from one choreography to the next. It became extremely important to me that my instructor knew the history and development of a musical genre and, consequently, truly understood its dance style — that it was one complete story.

It also took time to find someone who was not afraid to make mistakes, who kept learning, remained hungry for new knowledge and worked every day to become better — setting an example I could follow in this world.

Although I had spent many years dancing, I had never managed to build my confidence, which I believe greatly affects dance — just as dance affects our confidence. I also did not have a healthy relationship with my body and could not express myself. Now I have everything I needed.

I can guarantee that we are different from any other school, because we are not really a school and this is not just training. It is a safe base where you meet people who share your values.

What nobody prepared me for was finding a community of caring, supportive people here, alongside whom working on yourself does not feel difficult. In exactly that kind of environment, wonderful things can happen.

Another thing I was not used to is having room to grow here. Every person’s journey and every victory are recognised. Dancers are given freedom. Workshops and camps are organised all the time, and you receive countless recommendations on how to reach what you have imagined.

One of the best decisions, and one I have now been proud of for four seasons in a row, was choosing them. For me, BOUNCE is the right place, where things are done the right way — a place to discover yourself and be proudly who you are. ♥️

Frequently asked

Everything you want to know before you begin.

Yes. Private sessions are adapted to your level and a specific goal — from technique, musicality and choreography to preparation for a performance, audition or competition. Send us an inquiry and tell us what you want to work on, and we will suggest the right format.

No. Depending on the program, we work on style foundations, technique, groove, musicality, coordination, body control, freestyle, choreography and performance. The goal is to understand movement and music, not only memorise a sequence of steps. Explore how each program works.

Every membership includes BOUNCE EDU content, the Community and Loyalty programs and partner benefits. Depending on the package, Membership Workshop, Strength, Stretch, special prices and priority registration may also be included. See every item in the package comparison.

You do not need to know your final choice in advance. On the Membership page, a short guide uses your experience, preferred energy, goals and realistic training time to make an initial recommendation. The team then confirms the program, group, schedule and package with you. If you prefer a conversation, contact us directly.

Yes. Beginner and open levels are also intended for people with no previous dance experience. You will build a clear foundation and progress without pressure, while the team helps you choose a program and group suited to your current level.

Of course! Our packages let you explore different dance styles and combine programs according to your interests. View the packages and included content, and together we will choose a combination that suits your level, goals and schedule.

Strength and Stretch are supporting programs that complement your dance development. Strength focuses on building strength, stability and endurance, while Stretch improves flexibility, mobility and body control. Together, they contribute to better physical preparation and higher-quality dance movement. Here you can see which packages include them, and then we can choose the training combination that suits you best.

Not automatically. BOUNCE creates opportunities for members to perform, film, compete and take part in projects when they fit the specific format and the group’s development process. These experiences are an important part of Academy life, but they are not guaranteed by paying membership alone.

Active young members receive Kids Lab at no extra cost — additional workshops exploring rhythm, Dance Basics, freestyle, coordination, creativity, performance and creating their own combinations. The aim is to gradually build more dance tools and confidence through age-appropriate work.

Trial class availability depends on the program and current group capacity. Tell us which program interests you and what experience you have, and we will check the right date and explain the next step.

Some formats are open to everyone, while others are reserved for members or give them priority and special terms. This depends on the specific event and is always stated in its announcement. Follow current and previous formats on the Camps and workshops page.

For most programs, comfortable clothes, clean indoor trainers and water are enough. For Heels, we will send an additional footwear recommendation before your first visit so the class is safer and more comfortable.

Groups are formed according to the program, experience and age whenever that supports the quality and safety of the work. Labels in the schedule are an initial guide, while the BOUNCE team will give you the final recommendation.
