Afro
Different styles, authentic foundations and movement driven by rhythm.

Joyful · developmental
Afro Kids introduces children to the richness of African street dance styles through systematic work on foundations, rhythm, coordination and movement control. Special attention is given to developing musicality, with content and teaching methods adapted to children’s age.
How we train
Children gradually explore the foundations of styles from Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, South Africa, Angola, Cameroon and other countries while working on arm-leg coordination, weight shifts, isolations, body control and memorising shorter combinations.
Through dance tasks and games, they learn to listen to music, recognise rhythm and respond with appropriate movement. We connect steps with their origins and, as the group progresses, build longer combinations and choreography while preparing for performances and competitions.
Through the gradual development of technique, children build dance skills that provide a strong foundation for further growth in Afro dances and other styles.
